Last week, I had the opportunity to take part in the Belgium–Switzerland AI Networking Event at the Residence of the Belgian Ambassador in Bern.

The event brought together researchers from Wallonia-Brussels and Switzerland to exchange ideas, discover complementary expertise, and explore opportunities for future collaboration.

Through short presentations and thematic roundtables, we discussed topics including AI for health, Human–AI collaboration, sustainable and decentralised AI, and AI and media freedom.

Beyond the individual research discussions, the event was a valuable example of how international scientific exchange can create the foundations for partnerships.

I look forward to seeing how some of these conversations develop into new collaborations and joint European research projects.
