Last week at AidEx2026 in Geneva, I spoke on a panel with Alex Mundt, UNHCR, and Julien Thöni, Swiss Government, about how responsible digital technology can make a real difference for people forced to flee, from fairer asylum procedures to better access to legal knowledge.
As a researcher, I’m convinced that this kind of progress depends on collaboration. No one holds all the expertise alone. The aim is to turn what works into something that reaches more people, with their rights and needs at the centre.
Thank you to UNHCR and especially to Dominique Isabelle Hyde for the great moderation, and everyone who joined us.
